Get Involved

Faculty

I am a member of the SDSU faculty interested in the theme of Experience Time----- There are two ways to get involved.

Option 1

  • There are many ways to get involved with the Common Experience, such as:

  • The subject of this year's Common Experience is (or has been) an existing component of your course. You would like to share readings or other information about how you and your students examine this subject. You can provide a reading list, suggest media and highlight your own course activities on our website through a link or we can feature it in our Solutions Page!

  • Your research, scholarship, and or creative work is connected to the this year's Common Experience theme and you would like to have Common Experience featured with a link to this webpage.

  • Integrating the Common Experience theme in your coursework.

  • Using Common Experience sponsored readings, lectures, and activities as requirements in your syllabus or as options for additional study.

  • Establish collaborative activities between your own course and courses of the 2018-19 Common Experience faculty grant awardees

Option 2

  • All of the above and for 2018-19 Mark Wheeler (Philosophy) and Arlette Baljon (Physics) are co-facilitating additional programming. The principal aim of this new effort is to foster cross-disciplinary engagement among campus faculty. The opportunity is to stimulate collegial relationships that are not possible in our present university structures, activities, and agendas. In the least of terms, this opportunity intends to build campus community.
